This is a thorough review on the Evenflo Pivot Modular Travel System.

This stylish full-featured combo travel system includes the following items:

  1. SafeMax Infant Car Seat

  2. SafeZone base

  3. Bassinet convertible into toddler seat

  4. Stroller frame

The system functions in the following configurations:

  1. Car seat

  2. Car seat + stroller frame

  3. Bassinet + stroller frame

  4. Inverted bassinet + stroller frame = toddler stroller

Car Seat

The SafeMax Infant Car Seat has a relatively lightweight design

and is therefore easier to carry than many other car seats out there.

Five-point harness

Safemax Infant Car Seat comes with a front-adjust five-point harness.

SafeZone Base

The SafeZone Base is designed for the Safemax Infant Car Seat

The base is strapped onto the car back seat and stays in the car.

The Safemax Infant Car Seat snaps easily into the base.

It’s removed just as easily with a simple grip of the back-release handle.

The SafeZone Base makes transferring your Safemax Infant Car Seat a breeze!

Anti-rebound bar

In the USA, the SafeZone Base comes with an anti-rebound bar,

limiting the level of rebound movement experienced in a frontal impact event.

As of now, Canadian law has not yet approved of this rebound-bar.

Weight and height kids

The SafeMax Infant Car Seat and the SafeZone Base

accommodate children from 4 to 35 pounds

and from 17 inches to 32 inches.

Both the SafeMax Infant Car Seat and the SafeZone Base

meet and exceed all applicable federal safety standards.

Tests have proved both items’ structural integrity

at energy levels approximately 2x the federal crash test standards.

They withstand simulated side impacts and rollover events.

Safety warning:

Always make sure your child is properly buckled up

in the five-point harness when they’re in the car seat!

Infant stroller

The Safemax Infant Car Seat snaps easily onto the stroller frame.

The transfer from car to stroller is very simple

which makes life so much easier both for baby and for mom and dad.

If baby is napping in the car, you (carefully!) take the seat out of the car

and snap it onto the wheeled frame and baby simply continues napping.

Bassinet stroller

The Evenflo Pivot Modular Travel System comes with a very lightweight bassinet.

The car seat and bassinet interchange very easily.

You just detach the car seat from the wheeled frame

and easily snap the bassinet onto it instead.

Horizontal position

The bassinet can recline to a fully horizontal position.

Scientific research has proved a fully horizonal recline

to be the best position for your baby’s spine development.

For prolonged rides this position is therefore the most recommended.

Incline and recline

You can incline and recline the back portion of the pram

so if your baby has reflux you can incline it simply by using the strap system at the bottom.

Then whenever you want you can recline it back to the horizontal position.

Five-point harness

The five-point harness is attached to the bassinet,

so you can even buckle your baby up in the bassinet.

The bassinet comes with a foot muff cover

to contain the warmth inside.

Bumper bar

A removable bumper bar can be attached to the bassinet

that you can hold on to when you move the bassinet around.

The snack tray you can easily pop off.

You don’t need it when your baby is still so little.

No independent use of bassinet

Important: The bassinet cannot be used outside the stroller.

This system is not designed for independent use of the bassinet.

If the bassinet is not fixed onto the wheeled frame it will collapse.

Safety warning:

Do not remove the bassinet while the baby is inside!

Toddler stroller

Once your child has outgrown the car seat and bassinet,

the latter converts easily into a toddler stroller.

Just attach the clips on the bottom,

 incline the seat and

you’re done!

Easy transition

The transition from the laying down position to the upright position and vice versa is very simple.

When you’re out somewhere and your child is falling asleep

you can quickly and easily give them that lay flat position.

The lay flat position is also convenient if you’re on the go

and you need to change their diaper.

One piece, two functions

What’s super convenient about this system

is that you have one piece of equipment with two functions.

This saves space and the hassle of carrying the different parts with you all the time.

Many other systems have interchangeable parts.

With this system, you don’t have to remove any part,

you use the same item you just have to adjust it.

Good that you don’t have that extra pice of equipment to store.

Max weight of child

The Evenflo Pivot Modular Travel System in the toddler mode

can accommodate children up to 50 pounds.

The toddler seat measures 12 inches wide with a 17-inch seat back

and a measurement of 23 inches from the low back seat to the top of the canopy.

You can recline the back of the toddler seat

so you can adapt the seating position to your child’s mood.

Five-point harness

Always buckle your child up in the 5-point padded adjustable harness

when you drive them in the toddler stroller.

Bumper bar with snack tray

In this mode the snack tray on the bumper bar comes handy

as your child can reach out to it independently.

Foot area

The lower part of the stroller seat has a reinforced, rubberized board.

If your child is getting back into the stroller with dirty shoes,

you can easily clean it

and you won’t have to worry about ruining the side of the bassinet.

Rear facing and front facing

The Evenflo Pivot Modular Travel System in all its modes

can be both rear facing and front facing.

Whoever is pushing the stroller can see baby if the system is in the rear facing position.

This is awesome!

Facing out is not recommended for babies up to 6 months

because there’s too much stimulation for them.

Once your child gets older, the outward facing position is a great option.

Whenever they’re in an adventurous mood, they can explore the world in front of them.

The ergonomic foam-covered handlebar is tall,

40 inches from the ground to where you place your hands,

and easily manageable.

On the side of the handlebar there’s a flex-hold cup holder for the person driving the stroller.

You can remove it, but it stays put pretty well even when you fold the stroller.

Shopping basket

The storage area is roomy and generous

and you can access it easily from the back and from the front.

It has mesh on the sides, making it flexible so you can really pack it up.

The storage basket is reinforced on the bottom

so you can throw a lot of stuff that

won’t drag on the ground

The large 3-panel full-coverage canopy is perfect to protect the baby from the sun and the wind

or to provide darkness if they want to take a nap.

There’s a mesh see-through area which also allows air to circulate through the seat.

The 360 degree swivel foam plastic cruiser tires

provide you child with a smooth ride

and you can be sure your baby is not disturbed when sleeping or just cooling out.

The wheels are not pneumatic so you don’t have to worry about getting a flat tire anywhere.

Keep in mind that this is not a jogger and this stroller does not provide the same all-terrain capabilities

that the larger, heavier and bulkier three-wheel strollers offer.

The front wheel are 7 inches and the back wheels 9 inches big.

The two back wheels have brakes that you can lock and unlock separately.

Urban stroller

The Evenflo Pivot Modular Travel System is great for everyday use in town.

It does struggle a bit in parks, on grass, in dirt, on uneven ground, but it’s perfect for on the go in the city.

Light and manageable

In terms of weight, this travel system is relatively light.

Obviously, it would be a struggle for an average person to carry around the car seat with baby inside for an extended length of time.

Still, the system is much lighter than many other systems out there.

This is a major advantage if you use it on a day to day basis.

The whole package weighs some 20 pounds .

The Evenflo Pivot Modular Travel System is easily collapsible to a compact, self-standing and narrow profile.

It doesn’t occupy too much space at home or in the car,

which is very practical.

To collapse it, you just pull the levers on both sides of the handle bar

and lock the latch on the side.

It even folds with the bassinet/toddler seat inside

High end style

The Evenflo Pivot Modular Travel System has a fashionable, sleek look

and is finely shaped.

It for sure has the look of a high-end pram.

Other than the taupe, sandstone,

the Evenflo Pivot Modular Travel System comes in a variety of other colors as well.

Price point

The Evenflo Pivot Modular Travel System is a very budget-friendly product.

The stroller and the car seat retail at about 300 USD which is a very reasonable price.

Often strollers that have this many options, they retail between 450 USD and 1000 USD.

So, this package with the car seat for this price is a great deal.

All in all, the Evenflo Pivot Modular Travel System is a great product!
